Motion Dynamics is a leader in the manufacture of neuro-sub-assemblies. This includes steerable catheters, "pull-wire" assemblies and other neurological components. We use our StarCut Tube machines to precisely cut key components.
Laser cutting machines can cut sheets of metal in seconds. It's possible to do the exact same thing with a laser tube-cutting machine, but that's another story.
These machines are rock-solid and have a mineral-cast base. They offer precision contour cutting accuracy of +/- 5um. You can choose from a fiber laser or the most recent Monaco USP laser for fine cutting any metal or polymer.
StarCut Tube L 600 may be purchased with either a fiber, USP or both lasers. StarCut Tube SL Compact Model has the smallest footprint.
A tube extension is available to load tube stock upto 80", or 6’8". It is important to note that the maximum part sizes remain at 52".

A CO2 laser requires more power to produce than a fiber laser. This makes it less efficient and has lower wall plug efficiency. You will also need to use more power for the large CO2 laser chillers. Because the fiber laser-resonator's wall-plug efficiency is greater than 40 percent, it uses less power as well as less of your in high-demand flooring space.
When fabricators think of fiber laser cutting technology they may first think high-speed. This might be true. However, speed is subjective when it comes to tube-cutting. It's not the cutting speed of the tube that matters, but rather the processing time.
